Veterans

At Tucker Freight Lines, supporting Veterans is not a campaign or a one day commitment. It is part of who we are.

Veterans bring leadership, accountability, adaptability, and a deep sense of responsibility to everything they do. These values align closely with how Tucker operates across safety, service, and teamwork. On Veterans Day 2025, more than 75 Veterans were employed across our organization, and while that number changes as teams grow and evolve, our commitment remains constant.

We recognize that the transition from military service to civilian careers can come with challenges. Tucker Freight Lines is committed to creating opportunities, support systems, and environments where Veterans and their families can build long term careers and feel valued beyond their service.

Veteran Employment and Community Partnerships

Tucker Freight Lines actively partners with organizations that support Veterans and their families in workforce development and community connection. One of those partnerships includes the Tri-State Veterans Network, which works to connect Veterans with employment opportunities, resources, and local support.

Through events, networking opportunities, and ongoing collaboration, we engage directly with Veterans to better understand their needs and support their transition into civilian careers. We are proud to participate in community events sponsored by groups such as Tri-State Women Warriors, helping ensure Veterans and their families have access to meaningful resources and connections.

A Veteran Ready Organization

Tucker Freight Lines is committed to being more than Veteran friendly. We strive to be Veteran ready.

To support that commitment, a Tucker team member attended the Veteran Ready Summit in Washington, DC, earning a Veteran Ready Organization Certificate. This training focused on understanding the unique experiences of Veterans, improving onboarding and support practices, and creating environments where Veterans can succeed long term.

This effort reinforces our belief that hiring Veterans is only the first step. Providing the right support, understanding, and opportunities for growth is what truly matters.

Honoring Service Through Action

Wreaths Across America

Over the past several years, Tucker Freight Lines has participated in Wreaths Across America, transporting wreaths to national cemeteries across the country. This initiative ensures that fallen Veterans are remembered and honored, and the trucking industry plays a vital role in making that mission possible. We are proud to contribute our equipment and drivers to support this nationwide effort.

The Wall That Heals

Tucker Freight Lines has also transported The Wall That Heals, a traveling memorial honoring those who served during the Vietnam War. This powerful exhibit allows communities across the country to reflect, remember, and honor the sacrifices made by service members. Being entrusted with transporting such an important memorial is a responsibility we take seriously and with deep respect.

Raising Awareness for Veteran Mental Health

Support does not stop when service ends.

Tucker Freight Lines operates a dedicated truck wrap designed to raise awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder among Veterans. The artwork reflects the often unseen journey Veterans face after returning home and serves as a reminder that many continue to fight battles long after leaving the battlefield.

This rolling message is intended to spark conversation, encourage understanding, and remind those struggling that help and support are available.

Partnership with Tri-State Veterans Network

Tucker Freight Lines is proud to partner with the Tri-State Veterans Network, an organization dedicated to supporting Veterans and their families as they transition into civilian careers and community life.

We understand that leaving military service comes with unique challenges, especially when it comes to finding meaningful employment and long term stability. Through our partnership with Tri-State Veterans Network, we help connect Veterans with career opportunities, professional resources, and a supportive network of local employers and organizations.

This collaboration allows us to engage directly with Veterans in our communities, listen to their experiences, and better understand how we can support them both professionally and personally. Events hosted through the Tri-State Veterans Network create space for connection, shared learning, and access to resources that benefit Veterans and their families.

We are honored to work alongside organizations like Tri-State Women Warriors and others who are committed to serving those who have served. These partnerships reflect our belief that supporting Veterans goes beyond hiring. It is about showing up, staying involved, and building long term relationships rooted in respect and understanding.

Our Commitment Moving Forward

Tucker Freight Lines remains committed to supporting Veterans through employment, community involvement, education, and advocacy. We believe honoring service means showing up consistently, listening, and taking action.

To all Veterans past and present, thank you for your service and for the values you bring to our communities, our roads, and our company.
