2026 TCA Elite Fleet Certification

Tucker Freight Lines has been recognized as a 2026 TCA Elite Fleet, a distinction awarded by the Truckload Carriers Association to carriers who demonstrate excellence in safety, driver experience, and overall operations.

This certification reflects how Tucker operates every day. It is built on a commitment to people, consistency, and long term stability across our fleet.

The TCA Elite Fleet certification is one of the trucking industry’s most respected recognitions. It evaluates carriers on multiple areas of performance including safety culture, driver satisfaction, operational practices, and company leadership.

To earn this certification, carriers complete a detailed assessment that reviews how they support drivers, maintain safety standards, and create an environment where teams can succeed long term. Only fleets that meet high benchmarks across these areas are recognized as Elite Fleets.

For drivers, the TCA Elite Fleet certification confirms what many already know about working at Tucker Freight Lines.

It means you are joining a company that prioritizes safety, communication, and respect. A company that listens to driver feedback, invests in training, and builds systems that support drivers on and off the road.

This recognition reinforces our focus on stability, fair treatment, and consistent operations. It reflects our commitment to keeping drivers informed, supported, and valued as professionals.

Our teams are structured to deliver consistent service, clear communication, and dependable capacity backed by processes that support long term partnerships.

The Elite Fleet certification confirms that Tucker Freight Lines operates above industry norms and continues to invest in performance, safety, and operational excellence.

This recognition belongs to our drivers, operations teams, safety professionals, and support staff who show up every day committed to excellence.

Building a Retention Culture That Drives Growth

Retention in trucking is not accidental. It is built through consistency, trust, and leadership that understands the people behind the wheel.

In a recent podcast conversation, Dany and Cody from Tucker Freight Lines sat down to talk openly about what retention really looks like inside the organization and how focusing on people has fueled long term growth. Their discussion highlights the values, systems, and leadership mindset that guide Tucker’s approach to operations, safety, and driver support.

At Tucker Freight Lines, growth has never been about scaling at the expense of people. Instead, the company has focused on building a culture where drivers and team members feel supported, heard, and respected. That approach has helped create stability, stronger relationships, and consistent service for customers.

Throughout the conversation, Dany and Cody discuss how retention starts with leadership accountability, clear expectations, and everyday follow through. From onboarding and training to communication and safety support, Tucker’s teams work to ensure drivers have the tools and backing they need to succeed long term.

They also touch on how retention directly impacts performance. When drivers feel valued and supported, it shows in safety outcomes, service reliability, and customer relationships. This people first approach has played a key role in Tucker’s continued growth across its dedicated, open deck, logistics, and yard management operations.

This episode offers an inside look at how Tucker Freight Lines is building a sustainable operation by investing in its people and staying grounded in the values that have guided the company since 1956.

Supporting Community and Purpose Beyond the Road

At Tucker Freight Lines, community involvement is about supporting organizations that create real, lasting impact for people who need stability, opportunity, and support.

We are proud to support Opening Doors, a Dubuque-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and families as they work toward independence and long-term stability. Opening Doors provides safe housing, mentoring, and supportive services designed to help women and their children navigate life transitions, build confidence, and establish sustainable futures. Their work addresses not only immediate needs, but also the long-term challenges that can prevent families from moving forward without support.

Through programs focused on housing stability, personal development, and community connection, Opening Doors helps create pathways that allow individuals and families to regain control of their lives. Events such as Attitude for Gratitude and Fill Your Cup bring together local businesses, partners, and community members to support this mission and ensure these services remain available to those who rely on them.

Tucker Freight Lines’ involvement with Opening Doors reflects our belief that strong businesses are built alongside strong communities. The transportation industry depends on reliability, trust, and people showing up for one another; the same values that guide the work of Opening Doors. By supporting organizations that prioritize dignity, growth, and long-term impact, we aim to contribute to a community where opportunity is accessible and support systems are strong.

Community partnerships like this are an extension of who we are. They represent our commitment to operating with purpose, investing locally, and supporting initiatives that create meaningful change beyond our day-to-day operations.

Proudly Sponsoring Toyota Redlands BarX Yamaha Racing

At Tucker Freight Lines, we believe in supporting people, performance, and pursuits that demand discipline, resilience, and commitment. That belief extends beyond transportation and into the communities and industries we care about, including motorsports.

Tucker Freight Lines is proud to be a sponsor of the Toyota Redlands BarX Yamaha Racing Team, an organization known for its dedication to development, preparation, and competitive excellence. The team’s focus on consistency, safety, and growth aligns closely with the values that guide our own operations every day.

Motocross is a sport built on precision, preparation, and trust. Behind every race is a team of people working together to perform at a high level under pressure. That same mindset exists in trucking, where success depends on reliable equipment, skilled professionals, and strong support systems.

Our connection to the BarX Yamaha team is also personal. Leo Tucker, son of Tucker Freight Lines owners Sauny and AJ Tucker, competes as part of the team. Watching his dedication to training, improvement, and competition reflects the same work ethic and determination we value across our organization.

Sponsorships like this are about more than visibility. They represent an investment in people, development, and long term growth. Whether it’s supporting drivers, employees, or athletes, Tucker Freight Lines is committed to standing behind those who put in the work and strive to be better every day.

We’re proud to support Toyota Redlands BarX Yamaha and look forward to cheering the team on throughout the season.

2025 IMTA Outstanding Professional Driver of the Year

Tucker Freight Lines is proud to recognize Pat W., who was named the 2025 Iowa Motor Truck Association Outstanding Professional Driver of the Year, one of the highest honors a professional driver can receive in the state of Iowa.

Presented annually by the Iowa Motor Truck Association (IMTA), this award recognizes drivers who demonstrate exceptional safety performance, professionalism, leadership, and dedication to the trucking industry. The selection process is highly competitive, with nominees evaluated on driving history, safety records, career longevity, and overall contribution to their company and the industry as a whole.

Pat was selected from 18 nominated drivers representing more than 40 million combined safe miles driven, making this recognition especially meaningful.

A Career Defined by Safety, Experience, and Humility

With 45 years behind the wheel, including the last four with Tucker Freight Lines, Pat has built a career rooted in consistency, responsibility, and quiet leadership. He has logged more than 5.2 million career miles and has maintained zero preventable accidents in the last ten years.

While those numbers alone are impressive, Pat’s impact goes far beyond statistics. He is known across our organization as someone who shows up early, stays late, and steps in whenever help is needed. Whether it means covering a lane on short notice, moving trailers on a weekend, or giving up home time to support fellow drivers, Pat leads by example without ever seeking recognition.

In true Pat fashion, it took some convincing for him to even allow Tucker Freight Lines to nominate him for this award.

CDL-A Flatbed Driver Passes DOT Inspection in Wisconsin

CDL-A Flatbed driver Michael B. was traveling along I 90 near Sparta, Wisconsin when he was directed into a routine Department of Transportation inspection. The inspection was part of a state patrol training exercise, with eight officers on site observing and participating in the process.

Before the Level 1 inspection began, Michael took the moment in stride and asked the officers to snap a quick selfie with him and his co pilot, Axel. What followed was a thorough inspection that Michael passed with flying colors, a reflection of his attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to operating safely on the road.

At Tucker Freight Lines, safety is more than a checklist or policy. It is a mindset that shows up in how our drivers prepare, how they operate, and how they represent the company every day. As a trusted Midwest flatbed trucking company, we take pride in drivers like Michael who consistently uphold our core values of safety, service, positive attitude, and respect.

Moments like this highlight the importance of strong partnerships between drivers and enforcement professionals, all working toward the same goal of keeping our highways safe. We are grateful for the role state patrol officers play and for drivers like Michael who represent Tucker Freight Lines with professionalism and pride.

Developing Leaders from Within at Tucker Freight Lines

At Tucker Freight Lines, leadership is not defined by title alone. It is built through intention, accountability, and a commitment to growth. That belief led to the creation of our Leadership Training Program, a year-long initiative designed to develop strong, thoughtful leaders across our organization.

Since launching the program, two classes have successfully completed the curriculum, with a third group currently in progress. Each cohort participates in guided learning focused on core leadership principles, including building trust, developing teams, navigating conflict, improving communication, and delivering meaningful feedback. The program is designed to challenge participants, encourage self-awareness, and support real-world leadership application.

What makes this program impactful is not just the content, but the consistency. Participants commit to showing up for honest conversations, learning from one another, and applying these lessons within their teams and roles. It is an investment in people and in the long-term strength of our organization.

We are proud of those who have completed the program so far and excited to continue growing future leaders from within. At Tucker Freight Lines, investing in leadership is an investment in our people, our culture, and the future of our company.

What to Expect During Driver Orientation at Tucker Freight Lines

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at one of our driver orientation classes at Tucker Freight Lines. Orientation is an important part of helping new drivers feel confident, informed, and ready to represent one of the top Midwest trucking companies.

Our orientation program typically lasts two days and is designed to set every new hire up for success.

Day One focuses on compliance, completing required paperwork, and beginning online training modules. It’s an introduction to the systems and standards that keep our freight operations running smoothly.

Day Two is centered around one of our core values: safety. We review our safety culture, set clear expectations, and provide comprehensive ELD training, including a 45-minute one-on-one session with each driver.

For those joining our Flatbed Division, orientation includes an additional day dedicated to hands-on securement training. This ensures every CDL-A flatbed driver is properly equipped before hitting the road with us.

At Tucker Freight Lines, we know that preparation and support make all the difference. That’s why we invest the time to welcome every driver with a structured, professional, and safety-focused start.
