Scott Schwendinger: Operations Manager, Sustainable Yard Management

Scott Schwendinger serves as Operations Manager for Tucker Freight Lines’ Sustainable Yard Management operations in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and Bridgeport, Alabama. With nearly four years at Tucker, Scott brings a driver first perspective and a hands-on leadership style shaped by real experience behind the wheel and on the ground.

Scott began his career managing a truck stop before earning his CDL and driving both dump trucks and semis. That experience taught him patience, accountability, and how to truly understand what drivers face every day. When he joined Tucker, he started as a Driver Manager and Driver Trainer, helping onboard and coach new drivers. Building trust, answering questions, and focusing on the small details that became the foundation of his leadership approach.

He later moved into planning, where he thrived in fast paced problem solving and customer coordination. That exposure helped prepare him to launch Tucker’s Aliquippa yard operation from the ground up. Working alongside his team, Scott helped build systems, culture, and accountability where none existed before. As the operation grew, so did the structure, technology, and trust that continue to drive its success.

Today, Scott oversees yard management, spotting, and securement operations in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and Bridgeport, Alabama. His focus is on building scalable systems, empowering supervisors, and ensuring safety and consistency at every step. Scott credits his teams for their success and believes strong operations start by taking care of people.
