Charles Martin - Chief Information Officer

Charles Martin has been part of the trucking and transportation industry since 2004, bringing more than two decades of experience in technology, leadership, and operational efficiency. As Chief Information Officer at Tucker Freight Lines, Charles oversees the company’s technical processes, automation initiatives, and IT strategy. He plays a key role in aligning technology with Tucker’s financial and operational goals, ensuring systems are efficient, cost effective, and built for growth.

Under Charles’s leadership, Tucker has implemented many new systems and continued to strengthen its use of technology to drive innovation and collaboration. His expertise was instrumental in Tucker Freight Lines receiving the 2024 Trimble Ovation Award for “Better Together: Best Collaboration.” The award recognized the company’s successful integration of Trimble TMW.Suite TMS and TMT Fleet Maintenance, which improved data flow, reporting accuracy, and overall operational performance.

Before joining Tucker Freight Lines in 2022, Charles built a successful career in technology and management, supported by a degree in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University. His ability to connect technical improvements with business strategy continues to play a vital role in Tucker’s success.

Outside of work, Charles enjoys golfing, traveling, and cheering for his hometown Cleveland Browns. He and his wife, Tanya, are proud parents of three sons, Zachary, Chaz, and Branden, and grandparents to ten, with four great grandchildren. Their family is spread across the United States and abroad, including several who proudly serve in the United States military.
